We’ll be the first to admit that we sometimes let a few of our must-do spring/summer beauty regimes relax a little when the cooler weather kicks in…after all we’re covering up from head to toe, right.
But, looking fab aside, here are a few other reasons you should maintain your regular skin-baring routine:
1. Skin has many vital functions, but did you know healthy skin helps protect your body from viruses and bacteria – uh huh!
2. Healthy skin has also been shown to help keep your body temperature at a constant – much nicer than the alternative.
3. Dry skin is really uncomfortable, often resulting in itching (and always at the most inconvenient times).
So, hopefully with these in mind, you’ll take our tip to make moisture your skin beauty must-do as it cools to winter.
Here are a few faves in our beauty cupboard that will keep skin looking stunning…
Softsole Express Exfoliating Foot Peel
Starting from the tips of our toes - Bathefex Softsole Express Exfoliating Foot Peel is the perfect way to remove dry, cracked and dead skin to keep feet sweet and smooth.
Simply pop it on, sit back and relax while it works its magic. The peel is combined with Vitamin E and Lavender oil to nourish, revive and soften. We promise feet so amazing, you’ll want to drag the summer sandals back into action and forgo those winter boots ;)
Epsom Salt Soap Bar
The latest addition to the Bathefex family is a luxurious Epsom Salt Soap Bar. This bar is formulated for daily cleansing, and to complement a Bathefex Epsom Salt Bath. It’s formulated with Epsom Salt to help soothe muscles, plus essential oils, Vitamin E and Shea Butter, to soften and smooth skin every day.
Epsom Salt Bath
You already know we love the cool weather because it equals baths. But not just any bath will do… a bath that’s too hot can leave skin stripped of moisture, so first things first – make sure the bath temperature is ambient, or all your good efforts will be wasted.
Next, can we suggest adding Bathefex Epsom Salt Bath. Why? So glad you asked. Epsom Salts have long (for centuries in fact) been associated with natural health and wellbeing. Not only do they help to soften and smooth skin (either dissolved in the bath, or if you’d like extra exfoliation used in your hand to gently massage into the skin whilst bathing), but they’ve also been used to create a soothing soak for tired muscles. Add to this, essential oils of lavender and green tea, which are renowned for their power to refresh, calm and relax the mind. Perfect!
After bathing, gently pat skin dry (don’t rub) and apply your favourite moisturiser to lock all that goodness into the skin. If your skin is prone to dryness, try a moisturising oil for extra benefit.
Here’s to beautiful soft skin all year round – after all we never want our beauties to feel self-conscious because of dry skin (even if it’s only you seeing it ;) ).
